Tuesday November 7th

Students learned about the Chinese writing today. We looked at the 12 basic steps of creating Chinese Characters and then practiced writing our own characters.

Monday November 7th

Today we read a chapter in the text about culture in Ancient China focusing on the Mandate of Heaven. 

November 3rd

Today we watched a documentary about the Shang Dynasy.  The film looked at a previously undiscovered tomb of a warrior Shang Queen.

Wednesday November 2nd

I hate to say this, but I'm out all day today.  Have no fear, I'm helping to write the school's National School of Character Award Application.  Students will be working on a map of Ancient China, it has to be finished in class, so no Homework!  See you tomorrow!

Tuesday November 1st

Today we pushed through the after Halloween haze and took our test of Ancient India.  Students who score below an 80% can correct the answers they got wrong for additional credit.
